Last night May 8th, Boston Bruins played the Toronto Maple Leafs. It was game 4 of the playoffs and Boston leads 3-1. If Toronto losses then next game then they are out of the playoffs. The game last night was a battle after period 3 the score was tied at 3-3. Overtime came the both teams were showing strength then Boston scored. Toronto is my Favorite hockey team in the NHL. I think Toronto is going to lose the playoffs to Boston because Boston is already up 3-1. There is still a chance that Toronto can come back and beat Boston and move on the be the winner of the 2013 Stanley cup. Toronto hasn't made the playoffs in years. This year people were surprised that Toronto made the playoffs. The final game score was 4-3 Boston.
The warm weather is here. For the past two days the temp has been over 20+. Yesterday the weather people were saying it was hotter here in Kitchener than it was in Florida. I'm hoping this weather will stay like this for awhile because summer is just around the corner. From what i know everyone likes the warm weather, summer. The two months we get off in the Summer is my favorite holiday because its two whole months of no school.
Summer is probably one of my favorite seasons of the year because of its warm weather and especially because there is no school for two months. In the summer i do many things such as camping, fishing,boating, hanging out with friends and many more. I also go up north to visit family. I do a lot of fishing and camping, hopefully this summer i will go to different places. My friends and I go to different beaches throughout the summer Port Elgin, Grand Bend, we pretty much go every week. This summer i will be getting my G1 and start to drive. I babysit two kids, and have been for the past two years. In the summer i babysit them from 8:30 am To 5:30pm. It is a long day but i like watching kids. Pretty much summers are just full out GREAT>!!!
Recently in Boston as you may know there is a huge marathon that happens every year. This is a global thing , people come from all different countries to run in this marathon. A serious conflict happened when the race was coming to a close , 2 bombs were set off. Shrapnel was flying everywhere. People were injured, such as legs, and arms were cut off from this deadly bomb. These two bombs were made out of pressure cookers. The pressure cookers were filled with nails and ball bearings to maximize the damage. The FBI say that these bombs tie into the afghanistan bombs used to kill people. Three people were killed in these bombings. The pressure cookers were put into backpacks and placed near the finish line of the marathon. This is really serious because this can happen anywhere in the world. Also this can affect the tradition of the marathons.
This week Korea is planning on launching a missile and hitting south Korea. If this missile launches there will be war. People are saying this may cause world war (lll). Also it was just the birthday of the leaders grandfather. The missile could be launched any second. These threats from North Korea are bringing fear to our countries and our whole world. Like i said before if this missile launches there will be a war and the deaths will probably end up in the thousands. North Korea is trying to make these deadly threats stop. South Korea, Japan , united states are on high alert. This missile that is already locked and loaded can reach a huge distance from the launching site. United states have there ships located on the shore of Korea waiting for the missile to launch and hopefully shoot it out of the sky. Everyone in South Korea are nervous and scared some people said " I don't even want to send my kids to school, i want them to stay home with me. I'm very scared for them."
I am in grade 10. I currently attended Eastwood Collegiate. Eastwood is a great school to go to. Tomorrow there is a literacy test that is happening all across Ontario. The literacy test is taken by students to see where our level is at. For reading, writing , and other things. School is almost over for the summer. Summer is probably my favourite season of the year because of its warm weather. In the summer i do a lot of activities such as scootering, biking, camping and much more. I'm hoping to get a part time job this summer so i can save for a car. I only have 2 more years left in high school. I don't know what I'm doing in the future.
Dirt biking is one of my best hobbies. I have been riding bikes since i was 7. The first dirt bike i ever got was on a school day. That day i came home from school and my mom was telling me to go look in the garage. As i opened the door in the back of the truck was a brand new Jr 80. After a few years of riding I started to get bigger bikes for my size. Everyone in my family was riding dirt bikes, quads and three wheelers. At one point we owned 5 dirt bikes, a quad and a three wheeler. My two sisters also rode. We also bought a street legal Dune Buggy. We rebuilt the whole thing and it took about 2 years to get it in perfect working condition. After we would take it to the beaches and lots of other places. A few of my buddies race bikes. In the summer I go to the track a lot with my friends and watch them race. I also ride at the track sometimes. Dirt Biking is great.
The country that i would like to visit is Cuba. What i have heard Cuba is a great place to go to for a nice relaxing vacation. My family has been there before and it is very nice there. There is awesome landscape , food , and drinks. In Cuba there are many things to do such as windsurfing, surfboarding, scuba diving, snorkeling. Also when my family was in Cuba they went on a glass bottom boat. A glass bottom boat is a great experience because the bottom of the boat is made out of thick glass and allows you too see whats underneath you. They seen everything. Cuba's food and drinks are a big thing. The Orange juice that they serve is amazing. But from experience don't drink to much of it. The beaches of Cuba attract a lot of people because of its clear blue water, fine sand, and its amazing view. Many people travel to Cuba for their vacation because of its beautiful resorts. I recommend everyone to go to Cuba once in their lives. Its such a great place....... :)
It sucks waking up in the morning and knowing its spring. Then you look outside and see there's still a foot of snow on the ground. When people say its spring i think of the snow melting and the temperature getting warmer. Also you can put away all those heavy winter coats. Today i woke up and see that its snowing outside....... ITS SPRING NOT WINTER
Its crazy to know that by law teachers are aloud to hit you. But the school boards don't allow the teachers to. If they would they would lose there job but not get arrested crazy things. Also students can get charged by the police for truancy. I never knew skipping class could get you charged. This doesn't mean if a police officer see's you skipping school hes going to charge you. He/She has the right to charge you for skipping class. But back to the situation about teachers are aloud to hit you by law. Its just weird to know that they have a right to hit you of their own choice. For the teacher this would not turn out good for their job.
